SweetHoney’s is more than just an ice cream business—it’s a mission to empower and uplift our youth. Owned by Dr. Mischell Glenn & Wilshem Pennick. SweetHoney’s was born from a simple yet powerful realization: too many children struggle with basic social skills, financial literacy, and confidence when making purchases.
What started as a small table outside a community school has grown into three mobile units serving children and families throughout the county. From churches and schools to Boys & Girls Clubs, Pop Warner parks, and anywhere kids gather, SweetHoney’s isn't just about sweet treats—it’s about teaching life skills through real-world experiences. Every visit is an opportunity for children to practice communication, decision-making, and money management in a fun and supportive environment.
SweetHoney’s is more than a business—it’s also a way for Dr. Gee to pour back into the community they love. Twenty-five of all profits are donated to the schools, churches, and organizations they serve, helping to support youth programs and community initiatives.
A Legacy of Love
SweetHoney’s is dedicated to the memory and honor of two remarkable people who inspire its mission every day:
💛 In Loving Memory of Mrs. Iola "Sweethoney" Bennett – Wilshem's beloved grandmother, who was blessed to love and birth 16 children. Her unwavering strength, kindness, and nurturing spirit continue to guide SweetHoney’s commitment to serving children and families.
💛 In Honor of Sa'Nila "HoneyBee" Bland – Dr. Gee’s precious first grandchild and only granddaughter. She plays an active role in the business, working as her school schedule permits, ensuring the next generation carries on the vision of empowerment and community service. Dr. Gee is affectionately known as "Honey" to her grandchildren, a name that reflects the warmth, care, and wisdom she shares with every child and family SweetHoney’s serves.
